Crown Metals CZ is a Czech based enterprise which specializes in the research and development, recycling and production of Magnesium alloys since 1998.
Our plant is located in Litvínov, a town in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic, mainly known for its industrial commune and its rich Ore Mountains.
Situated at the heart of Europe, Crown Metals CZ benefits from its proximity to major cities and logistic hubs, enabling swift response to market with shortened lead time and lowered transportation costs.

Certificates & Qualifications
At Crown Metals CZ, our commitment to operational excellence is backed by decades of international certification and industry recognition. We prioritize quality management, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety.
Our journey toward global standards began shortly after our inception. Within just one year of our opening ceremony, we achieved our first major milestone in June 2003, receiving ISO 9002:1994 certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI). By July 2004, we successfully transitioned and upgraded our plant’s certification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard, reinforcing our dedication to rigorous quality control and process efficiency.
The well-being of our workforce is a cornerstone of our operations. Our plant was early to adopt the OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety management system, ensuring a secure environment for all employees.
Since 2004, we have undergone a period of continuous technical and structural improvement. As a result, our plant was successfully recertified by the BSI across all three management systems annually, maintaining a seamless record of compliance and excellence that continues to this day.

Environmental Leadership
In 2015, our plant was awarded by the International Magnesium Association (IMA) for the International Environmental Responsibility Award. We were recognized for our Innovative Solution to the CO2 emission and waste reduction in Magnesium scrap recycling plant.
Sustainability
Crown Metals CZ has developed a cutting-edge process to transform reprocessed dross into agricultural fertilizer, enabling the safe utilization of dross while ensuring environmentally responsible waste management. Process development commenced in 2008, and by the end of 2011, we successfully achieved certification for our first agricultural fertilizer product, named Mag 221.
Waste Free Production Process
Following extensive Research & Development efforts, we successfully developed two additional fertilizers, Maglit 100 and Maglit 100 Plus. In 2015, these fertilizers received approval from the Environmental Authority, resulting in the reclassification of our dross from hazardous waste to a value-added material.
Crown Metals CZ have therefore achieved a closed-loop, waste-free production process. We are proud to say that all scraps processed in Crown Metals CZ either come out as ingots or fertilizer, and nothing in between.
